At Rock Park, visitors can trek toward the base of the historic “Rock” landmark, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the surroundings (which include downtown Castle Rock and the Pikes Peak and Front Range mountains). Leashed dogs are permitted, so no family members have to get left behind. While the trail is not known to be difficult, the terrain is rocky and uneven, so you’ll definitely get a solid workout. After your hike, consider renting a picnic pavilion at the park and enjoy the view over lunch.
